A survey was carried out in Ogbomoso Metropolis, Oyo-State of Nigeria to critically evaluate the impact of microfinance banks as a strategy for poverty alleviation in Nigeria. The Standard of living of the respondents was examined and the extent to which microloans are available to develop small and medium enterprises were also evaluated. Evaluation of the strategies was carried out through direct administration of questionnaires on the microfinance banks’ customers. Primary data were analysed using Chi-square Test, Pearson correlation and Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) test. The results revealed that the relationship between the standard of living of the respondents and the impact of microfinance banks on their household was positive and significant with p < 0.05 and r = 0.212, the result also revealed that the poor have good access to credit facilities from microfinance bank for the development of micro- enterprises as the t-statistic test showed a value of 16.383 with p < 0.05. Given the result of the evaluation of the impact, a conclusion was drawn that microfinance banks have the potential to alleviate poverty especially by improving the standard of living of the poor and making available microloans for micro-enterprise. Hence, a persistent increase in microfinance credit led to a drastic reduction in poverty in Nigeria....
The bedrock of any economy is a strong and efficient banking system. The smooth running of a country’s economy is dependent on how well and fast is the banking industry able to adapt its operations to changes and how well they are able to tackle new challenges posed by technology. This research aimed at identifying several effects that of technological change on customers’ satisfaction of the banking industry using zenith bank headquarters Lagos state as the scope of the study. 245 copies of questionnaire were shared to customers within the premises of the bank as at the time this study was carried out. Causalcomparative research design was employed. Both the validity and reliability of this study were assured. The hypotheses raised in this study were validated using regression analysis. The results derived from this study show that technological change significantly affects the customers’ satisfaction. It was recommended that bank executives should employ a variety of tactics such as technology adoption and application, training and learning, participative leadership styles adoption, effective communication, use of change champions, and cost minimization, also, ensure that the customers feel happy when interacting with the bank’s mobile applications and offer to customers a service that meets their expectations....
This paper attempts to forecast exchange rates by applying a machine learning approach. More specifically, in this study, we attempt to forecast the dynamic evolutions of the four exchange rates of Canadian dollars, Australian dollars, Great Britain pounds, and euros, which are all against the US dollar, by using random forest methodology. Taking Chinese A-share new energy listed companies from 2008 to 2020 as a sample, study the impact of green technology innovation on earnings sustainability, and the role of the development of green finance in its impact mechanism. The following conclusions were drawn: 1) The green technology innovation of new energy companies and earnings sustainability are significantly positively related, strengthening green technology innovation is an important way to improve the earnings sustainability of new energy companies. 2) The green finance development has a significant external adjustment effect, the higher the level of green finance development, the stronger the role of new energy companies’ green technology innovation on earnings sustainability. 3) Compared with the sustainability of the cash flow surplus, the green technology innovation of new energy companies plays a more significant role in improving the sustainability of the accrued surplus. This research work investigated the impact of individual factors such as the knowledge and experience of Saudi bank employees on the Audit Expectation Gap (AEG) and inquires if the gap can mediate the relationship between individual criteria and loan decision performance. To validate the hypothesis of the research, a survey was sent to 300 employees working in Saudi Arabia's top 10 Islamic banks. Only 159 responses were validated. We used the AMOS, PLS, and SPSS software to analyze the collected data. Results exhibit an absence of AEG on Saudi banks; knowledge and experience were found to eliminate the area of the gap. Precisely, this study shows a very significant negative relationship between the audit expectation gap and loan decision performance of the Saudi bank officers.
